The Dolce & Gabbana online store (the “DG Online Store”), which can be accessed from the website www.dolce&, in addition to all other sites managed by Dolce & Gabbana S.r.l. (hereinafter referred to as the “Dolce & Gabbana Network”), or via the url, is part of said Dolce & Gabbana Network, of which Dolce and Gabbana is the exclusive data controller for e-commerce purposes. The Dolce & Gabbana Network is managed by the Data Controller and by the company YOOX, duly nominated as Data Processor, within the limits of the role.

Without prejudice to the above, the company YOOX S.p.A. (“YOOX”), based in Via Nannetti 1 in Zola Predosa (Bologna), deals exclusively with managing sales and transactions carried out through the Online DG Shop, such as processing orders, sale and delivery of products, processing returns and warranties and other activities necessary for the sale of products through the DG Online Store. For the implementation of activities required for the sale of products through the DG Online Store, YOOX S.p.A. processes, as the independent Data Controller and in accordance with the relevant privacy law, user data such as name and surname, address and user credit card details (for example, name and surname of the card holder, card number, expiry date and security code). With your express consent, which you may give to DG in the DG privacy policy section, information willingly provided by the user or lawfully acquired by DG in accordance with as follows may be transmitted to YOOX, both in the role of independent Data Controller and the role of Data Processor for the purposes specified as follows.

The present conduct guidelines concerning privacy (the “Privacy Policy”) are applicable for the website, the Dolce & Gabbana Network and the website dedicated to e-commerce (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Site”) and refer to the processing of personal data carried out by DG during Site navigation and user interaction with the services and features offered through the Site. The Privacy Policy has been drawn up in accordance with Recommendation 2/2001, adopted on 17 May 2001 by the Working Group for the Protection of Personal Data, Art. 29, in relation to the minimum requirements for the collection of online data within the European Union and, furthermore, provides information to interested parties regarding Article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30 2003 (the Italian “Personal Data Protection Code”). The Privacy Policy specifies the identity of the data controller that controls and manages the personal data collected and processed through the Site, and indicates which personal information is to be collected, the purposes and ways of processing and communicating to third parties the user’s personal data, the security measures adopted in order to protect said data and the ways in which the user may check the data processing regarding his person and exercise the rights recognised by the Personal Data Protection Code.

Dolce & Gabbana S.r.l., as the owner of dominion names including those at the address or in the Dolce & Gabbana Network, uses the Site not only as a means to inform users about products belonging to the Dolce & Gabbana group but also as a tool for the collection of personal data. Therefore, in accordance with the provisions established in the Personal Data Protection Code, Dolce & Gabbana S.r.L., in the capacity of Data Controller (hereinafter the “Controller”) provides the following information concerning the processing of personal data both of users who only consult the Site (traffic data) and those who freely send their information via email and/or by filling in specific forms in order to access reserved sections within the Site or receive the Controller’s newsletter.
This information is provided solely for the Site and the activities carried out by the Dolce & Gabbana company, also via its data processors, and does not extend to other websites which the user may be able to consult via a link and/or activities offered by third parties.

DG Privacy Policy

1. Types of data processed

1.1 Traffic data
The computer systems and processing programs required to run the Site log, during their normal operation, certain data whose acquisition is automatic and inevitable (whenever Internet protocols are used) and which may, in combination with other information, enable users to be identified. Such data shall be used with the sole aim of obtaining statistical information regarding the use of the Site and to check that it is operating correctly.
Where expressly requested, such data may be used to determine responsibility in the case of computer crime against the Site and/or third parties, in compliance with the relevant procedures of the appropriate authorities.

1.2. Data provided voluntarily by individual users
Personal information provided voluntarily by individual users via email, user interaction with the Site’s features, requests for services offered by the Site, completion of specific forms to access reserved sections of the Site.

The processing shall be limited in any event, for both above categories, to common data.

2. Processing methods and purposes

Data shall be processed manually or with the aid of electronic tools for the following purposes:
  • operations management of Site navigation and relevant access data;
  • data security and Site security management;
  • market research and statistical processing;
  • staff recruitment and selection
Furthermore, with the user’s voluntary and optional permission, the Controller may process information for the purpose of establishing individual or group profiles (user profiling) and for marketing purposes such as notification, via newsletters, emails or text messages, of the Controller’s products or of initiatives and events organised by the Controller and by other companies within the Dolce & Gabbana group, or with which said subjects are involved, including invitations to aforementioned initiatives or events. The user has the possibility of opposing this last processing purpose at any time, and request to no longer receive promotional and commercial material or information.

3. Data storage

Personal data collected will be stored and processed via an electronic system managed by DG located in the DG head office. The other companies within the Dolce & Gabbana group, duly nominated Data Processors, may be and in fact are involved in the processing of personal data related to Site management and connected services and features.

4. Data communication

Data will be communicated to other companies within the Dolce & Gabbana group or to professionals, independent collaborators, service and/or third party companies that co-operate with the Controller for the pursuit of the aforementioned purposes. Data, with the user’s explicit consent, may be transferred outside of Italian territory to other companies within the Dolce & Gabbana group that may be located in non-EU countries. In any event, whenever personal data is transferred to a country outside the EU the principles set out in the Personal Data Protection Code will be applied.

Subjects receiving the user’s personal data may process it as Data Controller, Data Processor and/or Persons in Charge of Processing Data according to the circumstance.

5. Automatic data collection tools

The Site uses session cookies and permanent cookies.
Session cookies are temporary and are eliminated after every visit to the Site.
“Permanent” cookies remain on the user’s hard disk until they are eliminated. The cookies are used to enabling full use of the Site and to track visits to the various pages/sections of the Site. Cookies are not and will not be used to obtain personal data or information relating to the user’s navigation of other sites.

6. Data submission

With the exception of traffic data (which is collected automatically by the system) the submission of data by the user is necessary to subscribe to the Site and to access the services and features offered by the Site and in the reserved areas. Your personal data is collected and processed by YOOX for purposes which are strictly connected to the use of this Site, its services and the purchase of products on this Site. However, your personal data may also be used for other processing operations within the limits of such purposes. In particular, your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
